Net Blocker Privacy Policy

Effective: August 31, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Net Blocker mobile application accesses, how that information is used and stored, how the application handles network traffic, and the choices available to you. Net Blocker is developed by Jasim Khan ("we", "our", or "us").

Please review this Privacy Policy before using Net Blocker. If you do not agree with these practices, do not use the application.

Current Functionality and Platform Differences

Net Blocker provides user-controlled application network blocking on supported Android devices. When you select an application for blocking and approve Android's VPN permission, Net Blocker creates an on-device VPN interface and routes only the selected application's packets into that interface, where they are discarded.

Net Blocker does not send blocked traffic to a remote VPN server. It is not an anonymity service, location-changing VPN, antivirus product, firewall for an entire network, or threat-detection service.

The current iOS version does not provide consumer per-application network blocking. It displays platform-capability information because the required Network Extension and managed per-app VPN capabilities are not available in the current release.

Network Traffic Handling

On Android, packets produced by applications you choose to block enter a local virtual network interface. Net Blocker reads those packets only as required to remove them from the interface and discard them.

Net Blocker does not parse packet contents, inspect destinations, resolve or record DNS requests, proxy or forward packets, retain traffic metadata, build browsing profiles, or operate a remote traffic-processing server.

Android displays its system VPN indicator and a persistent foreground-service notification while protection is active.

Application Information

On Android, Net Blocker accesses information about launchable applications installed on your device so you can choose which applications to block. This information can include an application's display name, package identifier, icon, and whether Android classifies it as a system application.

The installed-application list is used locally to display and filter the application controls. Net Blocker does not upload the list to a Net Blocker server. Package identifiers for applications you select are stored in private Android application preferences so the blocking rules can be restored.

Information Stored on Your Device

Net Blocker stores the following information locally:

Short-lived performance timings are held only in application memory for local troubleshooting and are not transmitted to us.

Permissions and Device Access

You can deny or revoke VPN and notification permissions through your device settings. Doing so may prevent protection from starting or continuing.

Accounts, Servers, Advertising, and Analytics

Net Blocker does not currently provide user accounts, cloud synchronization, or a Net Blocker-operated backend.

The current application does not initialize an advertising SDK and does not display ads. It does not integrate a remote analytics or crash-reporting provider.

Technical errors may be written to ordinary development or operating-system logs. Net Blocker does not automatically upload those logs to us.

How Information Is Used

Local information is used to display applications, apply your blocking selections, show protection status and local activity, restore your chosen settings, support reboot restoration when enabled, and troubleshoot operation on your device.

We do not sell personal information, installed-application information, package selections, or network information. We do not use those categories for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Retention and Deletion

Preferences, selected package identifiers, and local activity remain on the device until you change or delete them, clear the application's storage through Android or iOS, or uninstall Net Blocker.

You can unblock individual applications or all selected applications through the application controls. The in-app local-data deletion control removes React Native preferences, onboarding and consent state, and local activity. Clearing Net Blocker's application storage in system settings or uninstalling it removes the application's private local data, including native Android blocking preferences.

Android application backup is disabled in the current Android release.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Net Blocker does not share blocked packet contents, browsing history, destinations, DNS requests, traffic metadata, installed-application lists, or blocking selections with us or advertisers.

Your operating system, application store, device manufacturer, or services you independently use may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Net Blocker relies on Android and iOS system facilities and open-source application libraries, but it does not use those libraries to operate a Net Blocker data-collection service.

Data Security

Net Blocker keeps its saved information in private application storage provided by the operating system and does not operate a remote database for application selections or network activity.

No device, software, or storage mechanism can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate access controls and security updates on your device.

Your Choices

You decide which applications to block, when protection runs, whether protection may be restored after reboot, whether system applications appear in the list, and how the application's available preferences are configured. Android may still require a foreground-service notification whenever protection is active.

You can stop protection, remove blocking rules, revoke VPN permission, clear local activity and preferences, clear application storage, or uninstall Net Blocker.

Children's Privacy

Net Blocker is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. It does not provide accounts or operate a server that knowingly collects children's personal information.

If you are below the age required by local law to agree to this Policy, use Net Blocker only with the permission or supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Net Blocker, applicable requirements, or platform capabilities. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
